What changed in v0.0.5

Remote image fixes and dependency maintenance in Lumos v0.0.5.

Lumos v0.0.5 was released October 8, 2026. It improves remote image output and keeps Astro dependencies current without changing how you use the component.

Smaller remote image builds

A remote full-width image with both dimensions now treats its declared width as the largest output size. Lumos no longer generates larger files that contain the same source image.

The development warning now appears only when the remote host is not allowed by Astro. Hosts listed in image.domains or image.remotePatterns no longer produce a warning.

Dependencies

Dependencyv0.0.5
Astro7.3.8
@astrojs/sitemap3.7.4
create-lumos0.3.6

Dependabot now opens tested pull requests for Astro and its integrations, and merges passing patch and minor updates automatically.

The refreshed lockfile has no known vulnerabilities. create-lumos now checks the current template's runtime requirement before it writes a project, so future minimum changes are picked up automatically.

Project maintenance

  • The page-building guide is stricter about fragments, custom component boundaries, variants, utilities and custom classes.
  • The beta notice was removed.
  • The CLA, contributing guide and related workflow were removed.
